| "Dragon's Dome" Multi-Use Event Complex |
| The Dragon's Dome includes indoor
softball, baseball, football, kickball and soccer fields. Golf
driving ranges, batting cages, walking track (5 times around equals a
mile!) are also available. The Dome, and/or Dragon's Den can be
rented for trade shows, weddings, meetings, conventions, reunions, and large dining events. |
| The 7100 square foot business
center houses the banquet facility, concessions, ticket booth,
information area and offices. The concession stand offers
regular stadium type foods including nachos, hot dogs, popcorn,
hamburgers, candy, and chips. Drinks include water, sports drinks,
and soft drinks. Beer and wine available upon request. |
| History: |
| In 2002 the Pekin Visitors Bureau conducted a tourism product study to determine the feasibility of
the Pekin area becoming a visitor destination. After the twelve member team listed and reviewed the potential product, "SPORTS" was overwhelmingly identified as the market for the community to be competitive. The PVB has created a Sports Commission and joined state organizations in promoting the current and future sporting events and facilities. |
